Handymates is a free jobs marketplace that connects you with professionals in your area. Simply describe your job, receive and compare quotes, and choose who will carry out the work. Posting a job, comparing quotes and messaging is completely free and without obligation. You pay the chosen Handymate (Pro) directly; they will provide the invoice. A dripping tap, a living room that needs a new colour, a hedge that has overgrown the driveway: when you need a job done, you often don’t know who to call. You ring three companies, explain the same thing three times and wait for callbacks. Handymates turns that around. You tell the story once, and the professionals who do that work in your area will come to you. What is Handymates? Handymates is an online marketplace for jobs in and around the home, founded in Belgium. It brings together two groups: people with jobs and people who carry out jobs. Handymates does not perform the work itself; it makes sure your request reaches the right people and that you can calmly compare their proposals. You can use the platform in Dutch, French or English, at handymates.be for Belgium and at handymates.nl for the Netherlands. What is a Handymate? A Handymate is a self-employed tradesperson or professional who uses their skills to help others and carries out jobs through the Handymates platform. From small tasks to large projects: a Handymate stands for craftsmanship, reliability and quality. Each Handymate has a profile showing the services they offer, the area they work in and their customer reviews. Until you accept their quote, you see them as e.g. “Rudi V.”: first name and initial, without a company name. This way you choose based on the quote and the reviews, not on the loudest advertising. How does Handymates work? You describe your job. On the request page you explain in your own words what needs to be done. A few short questions fill in the details a tradesperson needs to give a price, and you can add up to five photos. You only create an account when you submit the request. Your job goes to the right people. After a quick check, Handymates who offer that service and work in your municipality will receive your request. It also appears anonymously on the job board , without your name or address. You compare the quotes. For each quote you see the price, the reviews and the Handymate’s badges. If you have a question, you ask it in the chat. Your phone number and email remain protected, so nobody calls you unsolicited. You

Is Handymates free for customers? Yes. Posting a job, receiving quotes, messaging and choosing costs you nothing. You only pay the Handymate you choose, directly and according to the quote.

What is the difference between Handymates and a Handymate? Handymates is the platform. A Handymate is an individual who carries out jobs via that platform, usually a self-employed tradesperson.

Will I be called by professionals? No. You communicate via the chat on Handymates. You only share your contact details once you accept a quote.

How many quotes will I receive? That depends on your job and your region. There is no fixed number: you will receive quotes from the Handymates who want to do your job.

Am I obliged to accept a quote? No. A request is without obligation. If none of the quotes suit you, you accept none and you pay nothing.
